PLOT

The first season of the series introduces the main characters and sets the stage for future storylines. The original X-Men team consists of Professor X, Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, and Jean Grey. New members join the team throughout the season, including Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Spyke, and Rogue (who initially joins the Brotherhood). In the later episodes, Nightcrawler learns about his mother, Wolverine discovers his past, Rogue switches sides to join the X-Men, and Xavier's half-brother, Juggernaut, is released from prison.
